We are now living a lot longer than we have ever before, and it is extremely important as we enter our older years to remain as fit as possible. There is a lot of research that shows exercise has many health benefits, from increasing muscle mass to improving bone density, which are both vital as we get older. Not only do we want to feel great, we also want the best possible quality of life.
Exercising can prevent health problems which are commonly associated with old age, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, and joint pain. The Trainers will design an appropriate programme which will focus on building your strength, increasing your flexibility and ensuring your mobility.
We have just celebrated our oldest client’s 91st birthday. Harriot is an inspiration at 91 years young, she has always led an active lifestyle and now has to remind herself that she cannot race around like she used to. Harriot contacted us because she wanted to improve her balance and gain her confidence back when walking around her home and garden. We work on her coordination, ensuring that her posture is correct, to maximize her stability. Resistance training also provides a great way to improve and maintain her muscle mass and mobility.
